Earlier this year in promotion of his new album, 2014 Forest Hills Drive, J. Cole announced the first run of dates and locations for his new 2015 tour (essentially for the smaller markets only). That leg of the tour (Act 1) is scheduled to kick off on March 2nd in Oregon, and Cole will be accompanied by Dreamville artists Bas, Cozz & Omen. Now today, things got much bigger as Cole announced the remaining U.S. dates (Act 3) with Big Sean, YG and Jeremih, as well as the international dates with Pusha T and Jhene Aiko (Act 2). Check out the dates for all Acts, as well Act 3’s promotional poster below. You can order tickets online starting Feb. 27th at www.livenation.com. This is not a tour to miss!
Earlier this year we speculated about rumors of a Kanye West and Rihanna collaborative tour coming this year. The rumors seemed to hold weight as a picture has circulated on social media which advertised the tour, and the tour was confirmed by a source to LA Times’ writer Gerrick D. Kennedy. And who wouldn’t want to see ‘FourFiveSeconds’ live?! We tried not to get our hopes up though, until something was more official and now today the first date has been announced! Although the link has been since deleted by LiveNation (perhaps they posted the link too early), the first announced date of the tour will be July 25th, 2015 in Laululava, Estonia (Europe). Tickets go on sale, at least as originally announced, March 5th. Stay tuned for more information.
Well… we can’t say we were surprised when we heard Danny Brown posted a 10-second Snapchat video of himself getting head. In the past Brown received oral sex from a girl on stage during a concert, so what’s a few extra thousand people sharing that experience as well? We would share the video but we aren’t that kind of website, you can add Brown on Snapchat though (xdannyxbrownx). Check out some Twitter reactions of Danny Brown’s Snapchat sex tape below (maybe the first of its kind for a celebrity).
Pop up stores have really blown up the past couple years, and if there wasn’t already enough reasons to make one, now there’s one more as Kanye West paid a surprise visit to British designer Katie Eary‘s pop up store and turned it into an impromptu listening session for his forthcoming album. Eary took to Twitter less than an hour ago to thank Kanye, and his creative director (Off-White creator) Virgil Abloh, for stopping by. This isn’t the first time the two have met though, as Eary worked with Kanye on his fashion line. In an interview with Life + Times, Eary described the experience was “amazing”, saying that the fashion industry is far too critical of Kanye. Check out some of the tweets about Kanye’s visit below!
It’s fair to say Big Sean has been feeling some type of way lately. Glancing over the past couple years, one could pick out that his last album, Hall of Fame, was ironically average and commercially poor, and on top of it all, he endured a very public and bitter split with his ex-fiancee and Glee star, Naya Rivera. Lately though, not only has Sean rebounded with another tabloid-attracting lover in songstress Ariana Grande, he has signed a new management deal with music-juggernaut Roc Nation, but more importantly, he has been killing every feature or single released from him in the past few months. With this overflow of amazing music, not only is he making up for lost time and turning heads in the process, but he has managed to craft his best studio album to date in his latest effort, Dark Sky Paradise.
“New sound. New deal. New album. New Era. Its finally coming. #In2015 #MikePosner”, reads an Instagram post from Mike Posner’s Manager, Patrick Cline. In the photo, the ‘Cooler Than Me’ signer is on location for a video or photo shoot, which makes fans very optimistic for the return of Mike Posner. The new album, Pages, is one of our most anticipated album of 2015 and now it looks like the project will come with a new sound and new deal as well. As for the new sound, all we have heard is good things, most specifically from representatives of Beats Musicand Philymack Inc. It also looks like Mike may even be working with Odd Futre?
During his visit to Power 105.1′s “The Breakfast Club” this morning, Kanye West revealed to Charlamagne and friends the inspiration behind his Vic Mensa and Sia track ‘Wolves‘. “The Wolves song came from a conversation that me and Drake had, when we was gonna to do an album together. And the album was called Wolves,” said Kanye. Kanye also revealed that he hoped that revealing the inspiration would help the album actually happen. Wow! Both parties are interested, the two started sending beats for the album, now let’s just hope the two commit to the idea. Watch the whole interview below.
Although it appeared that the song may have been scraped, it now seems as Kanye West’s anticipated track ‘All Day’ is still coming out. Earlier today Kanye paid a visit to The Breakfast Club and told Charlamagne, DJ Envy and Angela Yee that he was working (that day) on the track, with Vic Mensa and Q-Tip. Also today, Vic Mensa tweeted about the track. Originally, in his interview with GQ, Ye told fans that ‘All Day’ would be the first single from his forthcoming album. However, so far we have only heard a rough draft of the track that leaked. It may be a blessing though that it hasn’t came out yet, since now Vic Mensa is contributing to the final cut of the song.
Following the release of his ‘Just a Picture‘ track with Kehlani, rapper Kyle has released his next song ‘Wait On Me’, his most personal track yet. The Ventura, CA rapper took to his Twitter to release the track, which is dedicated to his late grandfather Thomas Harvey. Check out ‘Wait On Me’ and its cover art below.
