Roc Nation’s newest member, Chicago’s Vic Mensa, dropped his new music video today. The record, ‘U Mad’, features none other than Kanye West, and the two star together in the official music video. Make sure to buy the collaboration now oniTunes, as the track itself is as dope as its visuals.
It’s Days Before Rodeo (literally), as G.O.O.D. Music’s Travis Scott has released the first single to his debut album Rodeo, the follow up to his Days Before Rodeoproject that he released just months ago. This track is titled ‘3500’, and comes in at over 7-minutes long. And Scott shares those 7-minutes as he recruits Atlanta’s own, 2Chainz and Future, for the single. This one is produced by Mike Dean and Metro Boomin’, so if the rappers alone weren’t enough reason to check out the record, the production is fire.
Stream ‘3500’ below and purchase it now on iTunes.
Past TER intervieweeTae Miles has returned with his latest full length project The Adventures of the Wahoo Village Warrior. When I last spoke to Tae, he told me that the project would be “AMAZING”. He definitely hasn’t disappointed. TAOWW includes features from fellow Cleveland artists Ezzy and Lorine Chia, among others. Stream the album at the link below.

Kid Cudi doesn’t forget. In 2009, Cudi stopped by Hot 97 and instead of being asked about the message of his new album, or something with a bit of substance, Angie Martinez (who was then with Hot 97) and DJ Enuff instead spent a big bulk of the interview talking about Kid Cudi’s skinny jeans. Even though skinny jeans are more accepted now in rap (maybe not when it’s Drake at Governor’s Ball though), Kid Cudi was a bit ahead of his time.
While Kid Cudi kept his cool during the interview, six years later (today) he decided to speak up as he shared the interview on social media with the caption “Look at these two fucks tryna play me back in the day. This was 2009. Angie Martinez and DJ Enuff. Fuckin clueless.” Kid Cudi for the win.

Vince Staples is set to release his debut album, Summertime 06′, in just a few weeks (June 30th) and today the Long Beach rapper shared the LP’s official 2-disc track list on Twitter. Disc one will feature the album’s first single, Señorita, and comes in at 10 tracks while the album’s second disc will feature 19 tracks. If we were blown away by Staples’ most recent Hell Can Wait EP, we can only imagine how good a 19-track double-album will be.
Is Chet Hanks serious? After receiving a ton of bad press for his rap usage of the N-word, despite being white, Tom Hanks’ son, and therefore having zero street cred, Chet Hanks has now called out SAVEMONEY rapper Vic Mensa. After Vic (rightfully) called Chet Hanks a clown on Instagram, soon after Chet defended his N-word usage (citing freedom of speech), Chet accused Vic of being salty over an alleged encounter at a Beverly Hills party. In reply to Vic’s comment on Instagram, Chet wrote:
“I already knew u was a hater when I saw u at that house party in Beverly Hills but u was mad salty towards me cuz the girl you was with was feeling me and giving me her attention… I remember u taking her ass I’m a corner all heated and shit. U ain’t built like me lil boy, hahahhhhh. Don’t act like u don’t remember!!”
This will probably not end well, but it will be interesting to see if Vic responds. Check out screenshots of the Instagram posts (courtesy of VLAD TV) below.
It’s crazy how Ed Sheeran can flip a Fetty Wap rap song and turn it into a acoustic masterpiece! Maybe Fetty Wap, one of the newest XXL Freshmen, should team up with Ed for a mixtape? With some background support from The Roots, Ed Sheeran paid a visit to The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon team and gave an awesome cover to Wap’s hit record, ‘Trap Queen’.
Young LD kills a Thugger beat in his new freestyle. Spitting over Young Thug’s track ‘Check’, Lil Dicky blessed Sway and the whole Sway In The Morning crew today. Full of bars, sports references and even a lyric paying reference to the First Lady, Lil Dicky proves his writing is nothing to joke about. Also be sure to check our video recap of Lil Dicky’s Midwest leg of his Professional Rapper tour!
