Cashmere Cat has really blown up this past year, and he is showing no signs of stopping. Not only is he currently supporting Ariana Grande on her Honeymoon Tour, but as soon as he is done warming up arenas, he heads to venues to headline a tour of his own. Last night Cashmere performed for a sold-out crowd at The Mirmar in Milwaukee, playing a number of cuts including his new DJ Mustard collaboration ‘Ice Rink’ as well as his highly anticipated Kanye West track ‘Wolves’, the first song on Kanye’s forthcoming So Help Me God album. Yesterday Chicago’s Chance The Rapper continued to give back to his city, by hosting his first “Open Mike” event. From raising $100,000 for Chicago schools, to attending Big Sean and Donda’s House‘s “Behind the Mic” event for young Chicago artists, Chance always puts on for his city. Last night though, Chance and the Young Chicago Authorsgave local high school students a night that they would not forget, as the Chicago Cultural Center was packed with nearly 300 young artists. In addition to young musicians, poets, and comedians getting on the mic, some of the pros got to hit the stage too. Chicago comedian Hannibal Buress and rapper King Louie both performed for the young crowd, and SAVEMONEY‘s Vic Mensa was even in attendance.

Last night Riff Raff made a stop in Milwaukee on his current tour with Chanel West Coast. Performing for a hyped crowd at The Rave, Milwaukee’s own WebsterX kicked things off for his hometown with a set that included a number of tracks from his debut project Desperate Youth, as well as his newest single ‘doomsday’. Following WebsterX’s performance, Young Money’s Chanel West Coast gave fans a bunch of new music, as everyone prepared for an entertaining set from the Neon Icon, aka Drake’s last new friend, aka Jody Highroller, Riff Raff. Last night Logic and Michael Christmas made a stop in Milwaukee for the Under Pressure World Tour. Performing for a sold out crowd at The Rave, Michael Christmas got the crowd hype (returning to Milwaukee for his first time since 2013). Following a half-hour set by DJ Rhetorik, Logic came on to close the night with a number of songs from his Under Pressure album, as well as a collection of his mixtape tracks for his day-one fans. Last night Wale, Bizzy Crook and Audio Push made another stop on the Simply Nothing Tour, this time for a great Wisconsin crowd at The Ravein Milwaukee. Last night Bay Area rapper G-Eazy made his second Chicago stop for his From The Bay To The Universe tour at the sold-out Concord Music Hall. G-Eazy performed a number of tracks from his latest These Things Happen album, as well as a selection from his earlier projects. Also to show his love for the city, G-Eazy brought out Chicago’s own Chance the Rapper, Rockie Fresh and Vic Mensa to help rock the sold-out crowd. Last night singer Jhene Aiko performed at Chicago’s legendary House of Blues, accompanied by Odd Future‘s The Internet and TDE‘s SZA as part of her Enter The Void Tour. Jhene performed a beautiful set for the sold-out crowd, closed by her Sail Out single ‘The Worst’. Coming off a recent Grammy nomination for her debut album Souled Out, Jhene is definitely having one of the best years in R&B. Check out our photos below!
Last night BANKS performed the headlining set for FM 102.1‘s Big Snow Show 9 concert at The Rave in Milwaukee. BANKS performed a number of tracks during her first ever show in Milwaukee, including her hit single ‘Begging for Thread’ and her Goddess track ‘Brains’ (one of our Top 30 Tracks of the Year). Last night, legendary alternative rock band Wilco performed the second night of their 6-night stand at The Riviera in Chicago, IL. Celebrating their 20-year anniversary, Wilco is in the middle of their tour, performing a week’s length of shows in Chicago until the 12th. With different openers and different setlists each night, last night American folk singer Sam Amidon took stage for the sold-out crowd to set the mood for Wilco’s 30-song setlist (complemented with two encores).

Last night, Chaz Bundick (Toro y Moi) performed a energy filled DJ set to a sold out Chicago crowd at Smart Bar through his electronic dance moniker, Les Sins. Chaz performed a number of tracks from his new Les Sins album Michael, including its lead single ‘Bother’, as well as a number of mixes, from Justin Timberlake to Ciara.
