The Wisconsin State Fair turned back the clock tonight, paying homage to the 90’s, as the I Love The 90’s: The Party Continues tour gave a dose of nostalgia to the Milwaukee crowd. With performances from Kid ‘n Play, All-4-One, Tone Loc, Young MC and a headlining set from Vanilla Ice himself, fans of all ages sang along to some of their favorite classics from a couple decades ago.

Minutes ago, the Grammy award winning a cappella group, Pentatonix, stepped off stage after a memorable performance for the Wisconsin State Fair. Performing for a sold-out Milwaukee crowd, the Pentatonix’s set was full of entertaining mash ups and some of the group’s best original tracks.
Up first for the night, Us The Duo warmed up the Milwaukee crowd. Comprised of the husband-and-wife duo, Michael and Carissa Alvarado, Us The Duo brought some great folk pop to the state fair. Made famous through their covers on the popular phone app, Vine, Us The Duo have reached the mainstream with a major record deal but still take advantage of the internet to spread their sound.
After a brief set change, it was time for the Pentatonix to hit the stage. Opening with their 2015 track ‘Cracked’, from their self-titled debut, the 5-member group stood shoulder to shoulder as their Wisconsin fans went wild. Next the a cappella pros kept the momentum moving by performing their first original single, ‘Can’t Sleep Love’.
One of the highlights of the night though, came as the group performed their amazing ode to Michael Jackson, paying tribute to tracks like ‘Thriller’, ‘Bad’, ‘PYT’ and many more. Another stand out moment came as the a capella troupe broke the number one rule of a capella, using an instrument. But it was well worth it when Kevin Olusola broke out the cello for ‘Bach Cello Suite no. 1 Prelude’, while also mixing some beat boxing into the equation.
From start to finish, Pentatonix demonstrated how one’s voice can be the only instrument you need. If you thought a cappella wasn’t here for the long run, after it’s almost overnight success from the Pitch Perfect series, you are very wrong. Tonight’s sold out crowd will gladly tell you that a cappella will be a staple in music for years to come.

Drake’s OVO Fest blew fans away for another year in Toronto, this time with Drizzy literally bringing his city to the stage, by creating an amazing replica of Toronto’s CN Tower, which became a meme after the artwork for Drake’s Views album was released.
But in addition to the hours of great music and production, another highlight of the evening included a very unexpected surprise performance. For a very special performance of Drake’s track ‘Controlla’, rapper Tory Lanez joined Drake for an epic live remix. While the two have famously had bad blood in the past, it appears that all is well in the 6.
