Taylor Swift’s record breaking “Era’s Tour” rolled through Houston’s NRG Stadium this weekend for three sold-out performances for over 200,000 fans total.
With support from singers Gracie Abrams and beabadoobee, Swift delivered a career spanning show complete with 44 songs, multiple costume changes, top-notch production and a 3-hour and 15 minute headlining set that Houston will never forget.
As if you should ever need more reasons to see Taylor Swift in concert, an artist who has cemented her status as one of the top performers in music for over a decade, we have compiled our top reasons why you shouldn’t have missed Taylor Swift’s sold-out weekend at the NRG Stadium this weekend.

Sold-Out Environment
The sold-out NRG Stadium created an electric atmosphere with anticipation building up as a countdown clock appeared until the lights cut off and the show began. The 70,000 screaming fans never tired, as everyone danced and sang along throughout all 9 eras, 44 songs and 195 minutes.
A Strong Opening
The concert also featured talented opening acts, providing a crystal ball into the next decade of pop. Singer-songwriters Gracie Abrams and beabadoobee warmed up the crowd with their supporting performances. Both artists are big emerging names in pop and if their star wasn’t already on the rise, their performances in support of Taylor Swift will certainly do the trick.
The Lover Era
Friday night’s headlining performance opened with Swift appearing mid-stage, surrounded by dancers wielding giant fan-like structures, and featured stand-out tracks from Swift’s 2019 LP “Lover”, like “Miss Americana & the Heartbreak Prince”, “Cruel Summer”, “The Man”, “Lover” and more. “Lover” was a perfect album to get the night started on the right foot, the first of four albums that Swift had yet to tour until The Eras Tour.
Houston Ties
Swift took time in her set to share her Houston ties for the Texas crowd. Taylor mentioned that Houston is her mother’s hometown. Swift herself was born in Pennsylvania but has called Nashville home since she turned 14.
44 Tracks
Each night was a 44-song extravaganza. The Eras Tour is a 44-song production that only artists like Bruce Springsteen can rival, the only difference being is that Taylor has to memorize the choreography throughout the lion’s share of the tracks, making the feat especially impressive.
History
With The Eras Tour’s Houston visit, Taylor Swift is the first artist to sell out three shows at NRG Stadium on the same tour, yet it was still one of the hardest tickets to get. If Swift didn’t have to bless other cities with her performances, one could wonder how many more shows Taylor could have sold.
A Once-in-a-Lifetime Experience
Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience that should not have been missed. Her stage presence and tour’s production is unmatched. She performs a career’s worth of hits while also showing extra love to her last 4 albums, all of which were performed for the first time on The Eras Tour. Each Era felt like it’s own performance, giving fans their money’s worth throughout the night. From the 1989 Era with some of Swift’s biggest commercial hits, to the Midnights Era that closed out the show with Swift’s latest singles, everyone in attendance left the stadium blown away from what Taylor Swift was able to deliver.
Taylor Swift electrified the crowd at the NRG Stadium in Houston, TX on Friday night, with her captivating voice, stunning performances, and unforgettable hits. The night marked the first of three sold-out shows at the stadium as part of her historically successful “The Eras Tour”.
The night began with opening acts Gracie Abrams and beabadoobee, who got the crowd pumped up for the main event. Both artists delivered stellar performances that showcased their unique styles and talents. Abrams wowed the audience with her heartfelt lyrics and soulful voice, while beabadoobee had the crowd rocking out to her indie pop tunes.
As the countdown began and the audience roared, Taylor Swift took the stage in a dazzling outfit that shimmered under the spotlights. The singer kicked off the night with her hit Lovers Era, and the stadium erupted into a sea of scream fans. From there, she launched into a non-stop setlist that featured over 40 of her biggest hits, spanning her entire career.
