Remember what Drake was able to do with iLoveMakonnen’s ‘Tuesday’? Well expect the same for Fetty Wap’s song ‘My Way’, as Drizzy took the ‘Trap Queen’ rapper’s track and added a classic Drake verse of his own. As you can expect, the collaboration is fire. The only question left to answer is how long before Drake signs Fetty Wap to his OVO Sound label?

Following the release of his 2014 Hell Can Wait EP, Long Beach rapper Vince Staples has announced his debut album. Vince’s debut LP, which will be titled Summertime ’06, is scheduled for a June 30th release and we can’t wait! Vince has said that his latest EP centers around his summer between 9th and 10th grade, which leads into Summertime ’06.
Summertime ’06 will be released via Blacksmith/ARTium/Def Jam and is executively produced by the legendary No I.D. Speaking on the project, Vince said “Ain’t nothing realer than the truth. Ain’t nothing better than the truth, like I really did all that. I really seen all that. I really been around that my whole life.” Get excited, as in just a couple months we will listen as Staples paints a picture of the brutal and dangerous Long Beach summers.
Listen to Vince Staples’ latest single, ‘Señorita’, below. You can also purchase the track now on iTunes.
Apparently Vic Mensa isn’t a fan of rapper Kevin Abstract, or at the very least he doesn’t think that Kevin Abstract has the hottest page on Soundcloud right now. Last night Vic posed a question on Twitter, “hottest page on Soundcloud?” When one follower replied, saying that Kevin Abstract has the hottest Soundcloud, Vic replied with a big “No”.
When Abstract caught word that Roc Nation‘s newest artist wasn’t a fan, he laughed at Vic’s reply with a tweet of his own. Abstract also compared Vic to a young Chance The Rapper, a comparison that Vic likely hears way too often. Next (perhaps as a subtweet aimed Abstract’s way) Vic posted a picture of his BMW (which has since been deleted), prompting Kevin Abstract to tweet a hilarious response. “Vic mensa just subtweeted me and flexed his bimmer. im currently broke af in my bedroom watching mean girls.”
We are a big fan of both artists but we have to give the “W” to Kevin, unless Vic posts a picture of himself watching Mean Girls in his bimmer, in which case the win goes to Vic.
Check out Kevin Abstract’s tweets and compare both the rappers’ Soundclouds below.

Vince Staples easily had one of our favorite projects last year with his Hell Can WaitEP. Then, taking almost no time off, Vince kicked off his 2015 as he toured with Odd Future’s Earl Sweatshirt for their Not Redy 2 Leave Tour. And now to keep the Staples’ movement going, the LA Leakers have released Staples’ new track, titled ‘Señorita’. If you are expecting this to sound like the Justin Timberlake track of the same name, don’t. This track is fire and it is all rap.
Listen to ‘Señorita’ at the LA Leakers now. You can purchase the track on iTunes at 9 PM PST.
This weekend, a bunch of artists rocked the stage at Madison’s Revelry Music and Arts Festival. The packed University of Wisconsin crowd saw performances from Chance The Rapper and The Social Experiment, Mick Jenkins, AlunaGeorge, Until The Ribbon Breaks, The Chainsmokers, Nick Hakim, LordPrez, and many more! And not only did we capture some great shots from the festival, our photographer Dan Garcia got some great footage as well.
These are the highlights of this past week in music! Hopefully you can bump these tracks on your way to work to brighten up your Monday mornings, and to stay up-to-date on today’s music.
This week we have new music from Milwaukee’s WebsterX, a Stefan Ponce (‘3005’) produced and Chance The Rapper featured track on Towkio’s new .Wav Theory, and a surprise Earl Sweatshirt EP/song. Get started at the jump below to check out our favorite records of the past week.
A few years ago Madison’s Revelry Music and Arts Festival booked Chance The Rapper for a small performance, and for a crowd of less than a couple hundred. A lot has changed since then, and the numbers showed last night. Performing a headlining set for the University of Wisconsin crowd, Chance The Rapper and The Social Experiment shut down Mad-Town with a number of his Acid Rap hits, along with his new music as well, and this time for a crowd of thousands!
Chano wasn’t the only one to hit the Revelry stage though. This year, fans saw great performances from Chicago’s Mick Jenkins, AlunaGeorge (‘You Know You Like It’), Until The Ribbon Breaks, The Chainsmokers, Nick Hakim, LordPrez, and many more! If you weren’t there this year, you definitely missed out and you won’t want to skip next year, as the festival will only continue to grow.
Earlier this month we wrapped up our amazing experience during our first year at Coachella. The weekend was surreal, as music fans saw performances from Drake, Lil B, The Weeknd, Tyler the Creator, Toro y Moi, Action Bronson, Raekwon & Ghostface Killah, Vic Mensa, Run The Jewels and many more! While we posted a small selection of our favorite photos last weekend, to share our experience with our readers, we will be posting new photo galleries from Coachella EVERY DAY FOR THE NEXT MONTH. We saw over 30 great performances this past weekend and we will share our collection of photos of each until we run out!
Check out our last Coachella Photo Series of the year, of Jenny Lewis’ performance below.
During his sold-out Chicago performance with Yasiin Bey (formerly Mos Def), G.O.O.D. Music‘s Malik Yusef previewed a remix to Kanye West’s ‘All Day’, a track which he is one of the many credited writers. While we don’t know too many details about the upcoming remix (for example whether Malik himself is on the track or if it’s an official version of the Kendrick Lamar remix that leaked last month), Malik told fans that the remix was coming within a week! He also had fans put away their camera phones, as he would “get in trouble” if anyone shared the performance online.
A little sample…
“How long they praying that we fall? All Day n*gga.”
