Young Nephew – The Man
Inglewood-based rapper Young Nephew‘s new single ‘The Man’ is a real club anthem, featuring a hook bragging about how Nephew feels like the man, due to his insanely big pockets, label advance, and more. Nephew does an excellent job of letting his flow ride the 808-laden beat, with some great lines as well as a reference to Chedda Da Connect’s ‘Flicka Da Wrist’. Listen below, and check out his new mixtape, Show Out 2.0, when it drops.
Snootie Wild – Made Me (Lupus Cain Remix)
Swedish-bred, London-located producer Lupus Cain has remixed Snootie Wild’s single ‘Made Me’, and boy, does it sound great. Featuring two unique beat drops, the first being a simple remix using horn stabs, and a crazy sounding snare, which then transitions into a crazy percussion-led drop, which I actually can’t compare to anything. The synth stabs are a nice touch to this remix too.

Jay Neal – Lou Will
Produced by Bando Beatz, Atlanta artist Jay Neal‘s ‘Lou Will’, a cut off his most recent project, ‘A King’s Ransom’, samples the infamous Drake track into a slowed down trap-based production which Jay lays down some crazy bars on, referencing Kanye West, as well as describing a brief sexual encounter with a girl in a car. Great beat, great lyrics. Listen below, and check out the rest of the project too.
