Songs of the Week ft. Childish Gambino, Heems, Kyle and More!

Songs of the Week

The best and brightest of this past week in music, as well as a throwback track! Hopefully you can bump these tracks on your way to work to brighten up your Monday mornings. This week we have new music from Childish Gambino, iLoveMakonnen, Kyle and more!

THC is the Grammy nominated production team behind some of your favorite Kendrick Lamar, Schoolboy Q, and Chris Brown tracks and now they have added Childish Gambino to their list of collaborators. Check out their new track ‘Perfect’ with Gambino and OverDoz’ frontman Kent Jamz.

Listen to the first single of iLoveMakonnen’s new project Drink More Water 5. Ever since the overnight success of the new OVO Sound artist and his track ‘Tuesday’ (thanks to the help of Drake of course), iLoveMakonnen is one of the biggest up-and-coming names in rap and hip-hop. ‘Super Clean’ is produced by Makonnen himself, with the help of producer Phantom Power.

Check out rapper/singer Kyle (‘Keep It Real’) and his new track with Kehlanititled ‘Just A Picture’. Stream the full track below and peep the cover art above.

In 2011, rappers Das Racist came out of nowhere and instantly made a name for themselves in the New York rap scene. Although the group has since parted ways, their music lives on and now Das Racist founder Heems is pursuing a solo career. To kick off his solo work, Heems will be releasing his debut LP titled Eat, Pray, Thug, which is set for a March 10th release. Check out the first single  “Sometimes” from the forthcoming LP.

To celebrate the birthday of the R&B legend this past week, enjoy the video for his legendary track ‘Bump N’ Grind’ below.
