In her new interview with Billboard Lana Del Rey revealed a few details about the follow up to her critically acclaimed album Ultraviolence. According to our 2014 Woman of the Year, her next album will be titled Honeymoon and Lana has recorded 9-tracks for the upcoming project, 4 of which the production is “perfect”. Lana told Billboard that the album only needs a “few more songs to tie everything together.”
Lana also talked about her work for Tim Burton’s film “Big Eyes”, comparing her tracks for the film to her acclaimed ‘Young & Beautiful’ for “The Great Gatsby”:
“Big Eyes changed only a little bit in the six months I knew about it, edited by seven to 11 minutes. To me, Gatsby was ever changing. Baz Luhrman (Director) was on Skype for a few days on a giant screen over me and my producer and Rick Knowels in our studio. He didn’t just want the one rendition — he wanted a ’20s flapper rendition and was conducting via Skype. He liked to be really hands on with all the different interpretations and the instrumental cues. There were so many different renditions that it became a theme song.”
