This month we wrapped up our second straight year at Bonnaroo, teaming up with our friends at Pigeons And Planes to cover The Farm’s 15th Anniversary. And while we already shared some of our favorite moments live from the premiere Tennessee festival, we wanted to share more photos of some of our favorite performances this year. With memorable sets from Pearl Jam, LCD Soundsystem, Dead & Company, Ellie Goulding, J. Cole, Haim, Anderson East, Post Malone and St. Lucia, just to name a few, this was certainly a Bonnaroo to remember.
Check out our third Bonnaroo Photo Series of 2016, of J. Cole’s epic performance.
Tony Romo and son Rivers (2) meet a fan in Burlington, WI. (Photo by Dan Garcia/The Early Registration)
Never forgetting where he came from, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo returned to hometown of Burlington, WI for his annual youth football camp today. In a closed press conference, Romo took questions from the media and addressed the importance of giving back to his hometown, stressing that it’s not just about teaching the game but sometimes “it’s just about giving high-fives” and encouraging our athletes of tomorrow. And Romo did just that. Working alongside coaches from Burlington High School’s football program, Romo and Coach Steve Tenhagen taught the kids fundamentals, while pushing them to try their best, and most importantly, to have fun.
Tony wasn’t the Romo to steal to show today however. It was the adorable Rivers Romo (2), accompanied by his big brother Hawkins (4) who were the center of attention for many. A big basketball fan himself, Romo pulled “a Stephen Curry” by inviting his children to share the stage during his press conference, addressing questions about his camp, recovery, and upcoming seasons while the boys tried their best to sit patiently. Throughout the day, when he wasn’t mentoring future stars of South Eastern Wisconsin, America’s quarterback played with Rivers and Hawkins, gave Rivers a seat on his lap in the golf cart while the rain started to fall down, and overall showed us why he is as great of a dad as he is a Pro Bowl quarterback.

In his new Fader cover story, Long Beach MC, Vince Staples, revealed some very exciting news to fans. Following his critically acclaimed LP, Summertime ’06, next up Staples will be dropping a brand new EP, titled Prima Donna. And if new music from the Hell Can Wait rapper wasn’t enough, the six-track project will also feature production from James Blake and DJ Dahi. While the project doesn’t have an exact release date, as of yet, fans can likely expect Prima Donna to release sometime later this summer.

Following his mysterious online countdown, we finally have new information on what’s next for Childish Gambino (Donald Glover). Debuting live in September, at a 3-concert event in Joshua Tree, California, fans will be able to hear Childish Gambino’s brand new album.
The new album, which is rumored to be called Pharos, will be Gambino’s first new project since his 2014 mixtape/EP, STN MTN/Kauai. A new album isn’t the only thing Glover has in store, as his new television series Atlanta will soon debut on FX. Not only that, but Glover’s #Donald4Spiderman campaign has again paid off, as he is set to be a part of next summer’s Spider-Man Homecoming film.
Tickets for the concerts will go on pre-sale beginning at 9:00 PST on June 24th, with ticket packages running at $99. Find a way to get them while you can, because for a special event like this, tickets will surely go fast. And with new music from Childish Gambino on the way, it’s your move Frank Ocean.
Amtrak and WGCIdelivered last night, as they brought some of the biggest names in rap music to the 2016 Summer Jam. Despite a last minute cancellation from ‘My Wap’ rapper Fetty Wap, the Summer Jam brought a number memorable performances, from Desiigner, Young Jeezy, 2 Chainz, Migos, Plies, Famous Dex, Lil Durk and more, that the Windy City will not soon forget. With Plies for the ladies, Desiigner for the GOOD Music fans, T.I. for the old school rap heads, Migos and 2 Chainz for the crowd’s ATL fix, Jeezy for the marquee and Lil Durk, Katy Got Bandz and Famous Dex for their hometown, the Summer Jam had something and more for everyone in attendance.
While no single act stole the show, one of the night’s best moments came when 2 Chainz reached the end of his set time. Instead of playing by the rules and saying his goodbyes to Chicago, Tity Boi kicked down the LCD screen ticker that read 0:00, and performed until he felt that his set was actually over and dropped the mic before he stepped off stage. 2 Chainz raised the energy levels in the United Center, which set the tone for Jeezy’s headlining performance where he gave one hell of an introduction to Lil Durk, who joined the ‘Put On’ rapper on stage and helped cap off the night. This was definitely a Summer Jam for the ages!

No one puts on a tour like Kanye West, and after his critically acclaimed Yeezus Tour, fans were more than excited to see how Kanye West could top things next time around. Well the wait will soon be over, as Kanye West has announced “The Saint Pablo Tour”, in support of his most recent LP, The Life Of Pablo. Kicking off Thursday, August 25th in Indianapolis, Ye will make stops in Toronto, Chicago, New York, Detroit, LA and many more until the tour concludes October 29th in Las Vegas’ new T-Mobile arena.
While we don’t know exactly what to expect from Kanye’s forthcoming tour, you can definitely bet that it will be like nothing else we have seen before. His Glow In The Dark and Yeezus tours alike have turned heads and sold out arenas, and The Saint Pablo tour should be no different.
The newest track off his highly anticipated debut LP, 32 Levels, producer Clams Casino recruits Long Beach MC Vince Staples for ‘All Nite’. Clams kills it on the beat and Staples complements the track more than well, which premiered earlier on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 Radio, via Apple Music.
32 Levels is just around the corner, and officially releases on July 15th. And not only is the album worth the wait, but the list of guest features is top notch with appearances from Staples, A$AP Rocky, Lil B, Sam Herring (Future Islands) and more!
Listen to ‘All Nite’ and check out the tracklist for 32 Levels below.
