Summerfest’s American Family Insurance Amphitheater buzzed with excitement as AJR, Carly Rae Jepsen, and MXMTOON took the stage for a night of unforgettable performances. The amphitheater, packed with a lively mix of young adults and families, resonated with anticipation and enthusiasm.

AJR kicked off the night with their energetic opener “Maybe Man,” followed by crowd favorites “Sober Up” and “Yes I’m A Mess.” The atmosphere was electric, with the audience singing along and dancing to every beat. The band’s signature humor and engaging stage presence made the performance not just a concert, but a full-on entertainment experience.

Last night, The Sylvee in Madison was electrified by PVRIS as singer/songwriter Lyndsey Gunnulfse brought her headlining North American tour to Wisconsin. Lynn Gunn and her bandmates, as well as opening act Pale Waves, delivered a high-energy show, blending electronic rock and alternative pop to create an unforgettable experience.

Opening with “GOOD ENEMY,” from her 2023 album “Evergreen”, Gunn immediately captivated the audience. The setlist included a mix of new hits and fan favorites like “What’s Wrong” and “Hallucinations,” with Gunn’s haunting vocals and commanding stage presence shining throughout the night.

Highlights included “Mirrors,” with its hypnotic rhythm, and her 2-song encore of “My House” and “GODDESS,” which had the crowd singing along passionately, leaving everyone in the venue buzzing with excitement.

The Rave was buzzing with excitement on Saturday as T-Pain’s “Wiscansin Fest” made its much-anticipated return. The one-day music festival, curated by the Grammy-winning artist, paid homage to his hit song “I Can’t Believe It,” where he famously rhymed “mansion” with “Wiscansin.” The event featured an impressive lineup of artists that included Akon, Soulja Boy, the Ying Yang Twins, and more. Each act brought their unique style and energy, making the night unforgettable for the enthusiastic crowd.

T-Pain started his headlining set with a mix of classic hits, reminding everyone why he remains a beloved figure in music. Akon supporting set also captivated the audience with smooth vocals on hits like “Smack That” and “Don’t Matter.” His performance was a perfect blend of nostalgia and high energy.

Earlier in the evening, Soulja Boy had the party going with his signature dance moves and crowd favorites like “Crank That (Soulja Boy)” and “Kiss Me Thru the Phone,” energizing the entire venue. This year’s PrideFest Milwaukee was a vibrant celebration of the LGBTQ+ community, featuring an impressive lineup of performers that brought joy and excitement to attendees from all walks of life.

This year’s festival kicked off with a bang on Thursday, June 6, with a dazzling drag showcase on the SKYYLine Mainstage. The show featured stars from “RuPaul’s Drag Race” including Alaska, Violet Chachki, and Envy Peru, alongside “American Idol” alum Ada Vox. The energy was electric, setting a high bar for the performances to follow.

Friday night saw “American Idol” favorite David Archuleta and rising country star Dixon Dallas take the stage, captivating the audience with their heartfelt performances. Archuleta’s set, filled with his soulful hits, was a highlight, drawing a large crowd and leaving fans cheering for more.

Saturday brought an eclectic mix of acts to the festival. The evening featured a powerful performance by rapper Cupcakke. The grand finale saw the dynamic duo Icona Pop energize the crowd with their infectious dance-pop tunes, followed by a soulful and nostalgic performance by R&B legend Mya. Their performances brought the festival to a rousing close, leaving attendees with unforgettable memories.

Perhaps the biggest rising star in pop today, singer Chappell Roan brought her massive headlining “Midwest Princess Tour” to The Sylvee in Madison, WI. The Sylvee hosted an engaged sold-out crowd as Roan performed the entirety of her debut album and absolutely blew fans away with her infectious stage presence.

With one of the most exciting names in music in town, we had to catch the performance to capture some of our favorite moments from the memorable evening. If you missed out on last night’s show, Roan will be at Chicago’s Lollapalooza for what will certainly be a can’t miss performance.

Billie Eilish Shatters Records with Biggest Album Debut of Her Career

Billie Eilish has once again proven her dominance in the music industry with the release of her third studio album, Hit Me Hard and Soft. With an astounding 339,000 units sold in the first week, Eilish has surpassed her previous record set by her 2019 album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, cementing this as the biggest debut of her career.

The album, which has garnered critical acclaim from numerous prestigious outlets, boasts over 500 million global streams to date and has achieved the number one spot in 14 countries. Additionally, Hit Me Hard and Soft is the number one album on Apple Music, showcasing Eilish’s continued global appeal and influence.

The album’s success is bolstered by its leading single “Lunch,” which remains the most-streamed song globally on Spotify’s Global Chart. It has also claimed the title of the most-added song on U.S. radio, reaching over 20 million listeners across multiple formats. The official music video for “Lunch,” directed by Eilish herself, set a record as the biggest debut for a solo song on YouTube this year.

Critics have been effusive in their praise for Hit Me Hard and Soft.
