Nothing beats live music in the Windy City in the summer months, so it’s no surprise that a number of big concerts are coming to your favorite Chicago venues. From 5 Seconds of Summer’s lakeside performance in the middle of the month, to Little Big Town’s Ravinia Festival Performance in Highland Park, we have five big shows that you need to catch this month.
Check out our list of the 5 can’t miss concerts in Chicago in July!

Little Big Town @ the Ravinia Festival (July 20th)
Country music’s Little Big Town is performing at Highland Park’s Ravinia Festival for one of the festival’s first can’t miss shows of the 2022 season. The “Better Man” 4-piece is one of country radio’s top acts from the past couple decades and their live performances live up to their name. Get your tickets for the performance at one of Chicagoland’s most unique venues here at Ravinia’s official website.

Backstreet Boys @ the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre (July 29th)
Following some Covid postponements, Backstreet is back… in Chicago on July 29th. Performing their decades of hits as well as cuts from their newest LP, the premiere boy band from the ’90s is a can’t miss if you want a dose of nostalgia in your life.

Train @ the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre (July 15th)
Train has been killing it since the ’90s and ever since their breakout self-titled debut. With hits like “Drops of Jupiter” and “Meet Virginia”, the Monahan-led band is bringing all their hits to the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre in mid-July.

5 Seconds of Summer @ the Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island (July 15th)
5 Seconds of Summer are bringing their “Take My Hand World Tour” to one of Chicago’s premiere lakefront venues, the Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island. The Australian pop rock band always delivers, which is why it’s no surprise that the show is all sold-out. Limited single seats remain, so if you want to enjoy some 5SoS solo, Northerly Island is the place to be on Saturday, July 15th.

Lollapalooza @ Grant Park (July 28-31)
Lollapalooza is returning to Chicago’s Grant Park for another year as top tier music festival. Headlining Lolla this year will be Machine Gun Kelly, Green Day, Metallica, Dua Lipa and many more. Whether you’re going to the festival for one day, all four, or just one of the aftershows, Lollapalooza has something for everyone.
