Two legends in rock, Steely Dan and The Doobie Brothers, brought their co-headlining tour to Madison, WI last night for a packed crowd at the Breese Stevens Field. Performing just a few blocks away from the city’s historic State Capitol Building, the show had an early start time (with The Doobie Brothers hitting the stage at 6:30PM), but the two groups performed their decades of hits for hours.
The Doobie Brothers kicked things off with tracks like ‘Rockin’ Down The Highway’ and ‘Dark Eyed Cajun Woman’, before their awesome encore performances of ‘China Grove’ and ‘Listen to the Music’.
That set the mood for Steely Dan who hit the stage at the outdoor venue soon after. The New York legends performed a nearly 20-song setlist, with performances of ‘Dirty Work’ and ‘Reelin’ in the Years’ as some of the night’s highlights. Needless to say, Madison had a night that it won’t soon forget.
