From his EP, There’s Alot Going On, Vic Mensa brought his chilling performance of ’16 Shots’ to a national audience on Jimmy Kimmel Live. One of our favorite performances from Lollapalooza’s 25th Anniversary this past summer, Mensa was joined on stage by actors dressed in police riot gear, while rapping about policy brutality and the fatal police shooting of Chicago’s Laquan McDonald.

Making the memorable performance even bigger, Mensa was also joined by Blink 182’s legendary drummer, Travis Barker, to back up the performance. Then, a couple minutes into the record, Mensa abruptly stopped the music to talk to the people and call out the police in Chicago¬†while also calling out Donald Trump, saying that if Trump wins the election, “racism wins”.
