‘Submission Showcase’ is a weekly column where we go through songs submitted to us and showcase the best ones. If you’d like to submit music to us, find out how to here.
Two Legs – “Like Birds”
Bristol, UK-based dance-ish-music producer Two Legs kicks off this week’s submissions with an interesting track named ‘Like Birds’, featuring vocals from Samantha Drobig, which sound wonderful and well sung, backed by an insanely experimental production from this young man. With a rolling percussion beat, featuring kicks, hi hats, shakers, and topped with arpeggios and always changing melodies, this one is a serious head-bobber. Check it out below.
Snuff Redux – “How Could It Be”
Seattle-based Snuff Redux’s ‘How Could It Be’ is a sort of lo-fi garage rock cut that is intriguing; one that sounds better the further it gets. Featuring some sweet guitars and even sweeter vocals, backed by some drums that aren’t too loud, which transcend into a 60s-era chorus, before a little bridge, then a super totally sweet guitar solo, back into a bridge, then an outro. It’s a very short song, but it’s one that’ll make you imagine you’re surfing the waters of the west coast and buying hotdogs afterwards. Check it out after the drop.
