Misogi

Already receiving consistent coverage from scene-staples such as Mishka and Pigeons & Planes, Misogi is quickly working toward becoming a household name. Specializing in a fusion of hip-hop and electronic music similar to that of Cashmere Cat, he possesses a versatile array of talents that allow him to manipulate deep sub-bass and crackling snares into any way he sees fit. On ‘Lunar,’ a standout cut from his 2015 EP, PINK2, he enlists vocalist Sosi for a melodic outing that begins in melancholy territory before climaxing into a breakdown of twirling synths that warrant a late-night dance session on the beach. Other tracks such as ‘Church’ call for a placement on smoky club stages due to their immense bass-lines that trade back and forth with intricate, echoing snares and hyped-up vocal samples from Meek Mill and Young Thug (just to name a few).
Within the near future, no festival or production studio will be safe from Misogi’s grasp.
