High Rule – Enough
Okay. So this Chicago-native duo just dropped a followup to their original single ‘Touch’. I’m having trouble trying to describe it. ‘Enough’ is a happy, EDM-y RnB track which mostly seems to revolve around relationships and not ‘getting enough’ of someone who isn’t the right person for you. A bit Drake-y in a positive way, as the deep lyrical content is supported by a beat which makes you want to dance, which sort of paves a separate lane for this duo in the EDMRnB genre. Very nice.
Tony Volker – Kingdom Of The Beats
This dude from London makes music that’s very good and has been featured in NME. ‘Kingdom Of The Beats’, from his Break and Reshape EP sounds like a Radiohead track if you took all the music out of it and replaced it with something that you’d hear in a CSI montage. But it sounds so cool! You should totally listen to this below, and check out the rest of the EP.
Sad Culture – Rad Culture
The band name to song name rhyming scheme is incredible. Anyway, some friends of mine play in this band from South West London with two other dudes whom I am yet to meet, and they make some very good music which can be described as “:+)” and skateboard video-core at its finest. Look out for an EP soon. I think.
