A R C H E R – Astronautics
Alex Rowe is A R C H E R. His new EP is out, and the intro track ‘Astronautics’ is like a tale of romantic post-rock mixed with drum breaks, synths and pads to add a bizarro, almost hip-hop feel to it. Very nice. And very sad at the same time. Damn, what is with all these sad submissions recently? Listen below.

D Smith – Faces [Prod. By Kountdown]
Assisted by a Kountdown production, ‘Faces’, the second track from Chicago rapper D Smith‘s mixtape XIII: Stories Never Told could simply be described as happy drill music. It’s pretty much a showcase of Smith’s lyrical ability, with the odd watch shoutout and nice punchline here and there. Check it out. I like it, you should too. I hope.
Jules Born & Tanner Ross – Out The Window
I’m not sure how to describe this. I’m really not sure. Have you heard that Guilty Simpson track called ‘I Must Love You‘? It’s kinda like that. These two New Jerseyians have collaborated on a free project entitled The Y Tape, and the intro track, ‘Out The Window’ is like an 8-bit hip hop track that will make your head bob so much you’ll wonder if you’re still alive and haven’t transcended into an alien lifeform. Take a listen, and then listen to the rest of the project. It’s good.
