Check out Chance the Rapper and Colin Tilley‘s film debut, titled “Mr. Happy”. In the Tilley directed short, Chance the Rapper plays a depressed man Victor, who discovers a website where he can hire a hitman to kill him. Speaking with VICE, Tilley said “Chance is like one of the most down to earth people I’ve ever met and right away I was like, ‘This dude is really special.’ We talked about film and he was telling me how he wanted to get more involved in it.” Good thing they got together, because you can watch their new short film below. It gets depressing at times (but that’s the point), so be warned. Ever since Outkast’s “Idlewild”, it has been hard to see one of your favorite rappers contemplate suicide on film. Only time will tell if this leads to Chance dipping his toes into more acting in the future.
