Hypno Soul – Checkmate

We’ve featured London-based duo Hypno Soul before, but they’re back again. Their newest instrumental, ‘Checkmate’, is seriously so good. With some nice piano glissanados (the thing where you swipe your hand across the piano and hit every key) and swinging drums, this is one to look out for. It almost sounds like a live performance (extra kudos if it is).

ZayHube – Survival Route

Virginia native ZayHube hits us with this new single, ‘Surival Route’. Featuring vinyl crackle (literally East Coast to the max), some dope bars and a flow that switches up to almost singing at times, this is definitely a unique track that you should check out.

Intelligent Aries – Last Breath

PA-based rapper Intelligent Aries‘ new track, ‘Last Breath’ showcases some excellent storytelling. The instrumental is nice, and Aries’ story about getting into trouble, as well as eventually getting chased by the cops and killed, flows nicely over it. The literal last breath at the end of the track is a nice touch too.
