Songs of the Week featuring Lil Wayne, The Neighbourhood, G-Eazy and More!

The best and brightest of this past week in music, as well as a throwback track! Hopefully you can bump these on the way to work to brighten up your Monday mornings! Make sure to check out our SoundCloud page where we post some of our past songs of the week.

Timbaland swears by his new artist Tink, and not without reason. Check out Chicago’s own Tink, and her new track ‘Tell The Children’, produced by Timbaland himself.

Days ago, Lil Wayne premiered his new song ‘Start a Fire’ with Christina Milian, live at the American Music Awards. Be sure to get Wayne’s The Carter V Pt. 1 on December 9th and stream ‘Start a Fire’ above, or download it now on iTunes.

This G-Eazy collaboration is one of the hottest tracks from The Neighbourhood’s new mixtape #000000 & #FFFFFF. This rock group has major hip-hop influences, which may be why they recruited Don Cannon & DJ Drama to host their new project.

Frank Ocean has finally come of out hiding. After a two year hiatus, hours ago Frank Ocean shared his new track, ‘Memrise’. Posting the song through his Tumblr, ‘Memrise’ is like nothing we heard on Frank’s debut channel ORANGE. It is definitely good to hear some new music from Frank, as he has kept fans waiting and just days ago we posted a piece on Frank and long hiatuses in music.

‘Sunday Candy’, from The Social Experiment (Chance The Rapper, Donnie Trumpet, Peter Cottontale, and Nate Fox) is off their upcoming album, Surf. Stream the new uplifting track above!

Pretty Ricky’s Bluestars album may just be one of the best and most underrated R&B albums of all-time. For this week’s throwback track we have one of Blustars’ best tracks, ‘Your Body’. These guys will always be known for ‘Grind On Me’, but they put together a quality classic album in the R&B world.
