In a recent interview with New York’s Hot97, Kendrick Lamar spoke about Macklemore’s infamous text to Kendrick, following last year’s Grammys.

After being asked what he thought about Macklemore’s apology, for winning the Best Rap Album Grammy and beating out Kendrick’s critically acclaimed good kid M.A.A.D city, Kendrick humbly said:

“I thought it was uncalled-for… For confirmation from the world, he probably thought that he had to put it out there, which he didn’t need to do.”
