Last month, singer/producer Mike Posner shared a huge sneak peek of his forthcoming album. Contrasting greatly from his hip-hop influenced college-pop tracks circa his hit-record ‘Cooler Than Me’, Posner has discovered a whole new sound. In an email to fans, Mike wrote “So I’m very hesitant to sound douchey like I’m trying to sell you something….I’m just EXCITED. If you want to stream the Truth for free forever, here’s the link …that’s totally cool with me. BUT, If the music does something for you and you’d like to support me as a patron, you can purchase the TRUTH EP here. I love you guys.” Mike finished the email with a big thank you to his fans,
“Thank you so much for allowing me to not get a real job and focus on making this art for you. Again, these are four songs from the upcoming album.”
Buy The Truth now on iTunes (you won’t regret it) and check out our review of the EP here.
These four songs definitely sound different than his pop songs that were on the radio. But his lyrics do sound like he is speaking truthfully, I like it. What do you think?
