Yesterday rapper Daye Jack celebrated Black History Month with the release of his music video, for his powerful Black Lives Matter inspired record, ‘Hands Up’. Joined by Run The Jewel’s Killer Mike, the visuals for Jack’s record (which was originally released months ago) are as powerful and moving as the track itself. The music video is directed by David Gallardo and incorporates real footage and images from the new era of the civil rights movement in America. Already this is an early pick for one of our favorite videos of the new year.

Out of nowhere, Run The Jewels (Killer Mike and El-P) released a music video for their standout Run The Jewels 2 track ‘Early’, featuring Boots. The animated video was done by Bug & Sluzzy and details the track’s lyrical themes.
Last Sunday wrapped up our amazing experience during our first year at Coachella. The weekend was surreal, as music fans saw performances from Drake, Lil B, The Weeknd, Tyler the Creator, Toro y Moi, Action Bronson, Raekwon & Ghostface Killah, Vic Mensa and many more! While we posted a small selection of our favorite photos last weekend, to share our experience with our readers, we will be posting new photo galleries from Coachella EVERY DAY FOR THE NEXT MONTH. We saw over 30 great performances this past weekend and we will share our collection of photos of each until we run out!
Check out our ninth Coachella Photo Series, of Run The Jewels’ Weekend One performance, below.
The guys who were once the internet nerd’s preference to the Throne has now solidified themselves as one of the most important duo’s out today. With what sounds like their Tarantino-directed sequel to the first project, Run the Jewels 2 serves as a violent, abrasive, energetic record where both Killer Mike and El-P have found the balance between old-school influence and new-school relevance, while ultimately being one of the best rap projects 2014 has seen so far.
In anticipation of their upcoming tour, Run The Jewels (Killer Mike & El-P) perform their track ‘Early’ on The Late Show with David Letterman, off their newest project Run The Jewels 2.
How do you stop leakers from leaking your album? Simply put, you can’t (normally). How do you go about it the cool way? Share the leak yourself with your fans on Twitter!
In yet another unlikely collaboration in the past month, Run The Jewels (made up of Killer Mike and El-P) teamed up with Rage Against The Machine’s Zack De La Rocha for their new track ‘Close Your Eyes (And Count To F*ck)’. Enjoy the track at the jump.
