According to Buzzfeed, the singer-songwriter has reportedly parted ways with Christian and Kelly Clancy – who have managed the music collective Odd Future (which we assume still includes Ocean) in their rise to fame and beyond – as he looks to take his career “in a different direction”.
Ahead of what we assume is a summer release of his sophomore album, the singer, known for the Grammy award-winning album channel, ORANGE has also chosen to fire publicists Life or Death PR, who are also the publicists for Odd Future.
In their place, Ocean has hired ID PR, a Hollywood-based agency that work with both musicians and actors alike (including Jennifer Lawrence and Alicia Keys, among others). A new manager has not been named at this moment in time.
The fact that neither party has commented just adds more mystery to the firing and, with Oceans secretive lifestyle, it doesn’t look like we’ll hear his side of the story any time soon.
