It’s probably time for Coachella to start looking for a new headlining act for the festival’s back-to-back weekends. Although there hasn’t been any official cancellation as of yet, common sense would dictate that Beyonce will not be able to headline the Indio, CA festival this April.
After Beyonce blessed us all with the news that she is pregnant with twins, her ability to perform is of course affected. Beyonce has performed while pregnant before, in fact she announced her first pregnancy during a performance in 2011 at the MTV Video Music Awards. However, she was not as far along as she will be during Coachella this year, and that performance was just a few songs.
Beyonce is Beyonce, but she is still human, and at the time of Coachella she will be about 7 or 8 months pregnant and in no position to put on two huge headlining performances. And if you’ve ever seen Beyonce live, she doesn’t just sit on a stool with her mic stand. Some women aren’t even advised to fly on an airplane that far along, none the less perform on the biggest stage in the U.S. One thing that is for sure, if Coachella does have to put in a sub for Beyonce, she casts a huge shadow for any possible replacement.
Stay tuned as we will update our readers with any new information.
